Partagas Chico

Got these in the post today. Age unknown. Smoked 20 March 2010. I’m unsure whether these have been discontinued or how they are made as various sources give conflicting information. I’d be tempted to say current with short filler (tripa corta). No idea about handmade or not.

Lighter for scale… Pre-light, this smelt a bit like sandalwood or incense, perhaps a bit spicy too. The draw was spot-on, and it lit easily as you’d expect for the gauge. I’m quite surprised at this actually. It tasted like you’d expect a Partagas should. No progression obviously. It got a bit strong/rough towards the end, but considering this hasn’t had any rest I’m expecting them to improve. Not bad for the money, and slots into 25 minutes just right.
